 WillowTree History

WillowTree was established in 2013 and is based on the principles of honesty, integrity and value. Our reputation has been established as a premier builder, remodeler and leader in construction in Southlake and surrounding cities. We are affiliated with professional groups such as the Southlake Chamber of Commerce, Texas Association of Homebuilders and Greater Fort Worth Builders Association.

Founded by two high school friends Jody Alumbaugh and Travis Franks, who unknowingly coined the name for the business on a 1997 high school baseball trip, wanted to apply their experience towards something of their own creation. Jody, a licensed structural engineer and Travis, a residential construction veteran identified a market need for a younger generation of builders that could apply today’s technology to high quality residential construction.

Travis Franks

Travis Franks serves as the construction director of WillowTree and oversees each project from conception to final walk through. His extensive knowledge in the residential construction field allows him to take homeowner ideas and turn them into reality while offering insights on the most up to date trends. He has worked for a top 5 national home builder where he gained experience in construction management, home building and remodeling. In addition, he has been involved in the residential land sales and development sector where he obtained his real estate license. He has also worked alongside major plumbing and fixture manufacturers as a regional representative. His extensive network allows WillowTree to present our clients with top of the line products and services at the most competitive prices.

Travis holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of North Texas and currently lives in Southlake, Texas with his wife and two children. They have deeply rooted ties to the Southlake community and are active members of White’s Chapel United Methodist Church, where they are always willing to serve.


Jody Alumbaugh, PE

Jody Alumbaugh is a professional engineer with over 12 years of experience in the construction and design of structures and serves to oversee, evaluate, approve, and coordinate all projects. His engineering background and education provides our customers with a unique ability to analyze the microscopic interactions of a project while managing it on a global level.

Jody has overseen the structural design and construction administration on various types of new and remodel projects including residential structures, multifamily, retail centers, mixed use, warehouses, condominiums and parking structures. In addition to this, he has led the structural engineering effort for structural forensics, fire-damaged structures, client pre-purchase observations and feasibility studies.


Luke Roll
Project Manager

Luke Roll serves as Project Manager/Superintendent for WillowTree and oversees both new construction and remodel projects. His goal with every project is to guide and explain all aspects of construction process to his clients. During each project his is responsible for the scheduling of all sub-contractors and general management of the job site. He believes in an open line of communication with his clients. He treats ever clients project and home with the same care and attention to detail he would his own. This ensures that the project is completed on time and exceeds the customer’s expectations.

Luke holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Tech University and currently lives in
North Richland Hills, Texas with his wife.
