 WillowTree History

WillowTree Luxury Homes was established in 2013 and was founded on the principles of honesty, integrity and value.  Humble beginnings crescendoed into a well-respected company as WillowTree grew from the ground-up into a premier home builder.  

WillowTree Luxury Homes was founded by two passionate and ambitious high school friends, Jody Alumbaugh and Travis Franks, who unknowingly coined the business name on the back of a school bus during a 1997 high school baseball trip.  Jody, a licensed structural engineer and Travis, a residential construction veteran identified a need in the market for a younger generation of builders that would apply modern technology to the construction of high-quality custom homes.

Our mission is to provide professional design and building services to give our clients expertly conceived and precisely crafted custom homes that come in at or below budgeted costs.

Travis Franks

Travis Franks serves as the construction director of WillowTree and oversees each project from conception to final walkthrough. His extensive knowledge in the residential construction field allows him to take homeowner ideas and make them reality while offering insights on the most up-to-date trends. He has worked for a Top 5 national home builder, where he gained experience in construction management, homebuilding and remodeling. In addition, he has been involved in residential land sales and development, where he obtained his real estate license. He also has worked alongside major plumbing and fixture manufacturers as a regional representative. His extensive network allows WillowTree to present our clients with the best products and services at the most competitive prices.

Travis holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of North Texas and currently lives in Southlake, Texas, with his wife and two children. They have deep roots in the Southlake community and are active members of White’s Chapel United Methodist Church, where they are always willing to serve.

Jody Alumbaugh is a professional engineer with more than 12 years experience in the construction and design of structures and serves to oversee, evaluate, approve, and coordinate all projects. His engineering background and education provides customers with a unique ability to analyze the microscopic detail of a project while managing it on a global level.
Jody has overseen the structural design and construction administration on various types of new and remodel projects including residential structures, multifamily, retail centers, mixed use, warehouses, condominiums and parking structures. In addition to this, he has led the structural engineering effort for structural forensics, fire-damaged structures, client pre-purchase observations and feasibility studies.

Project Manager

Luke Roll serves as Project Manager/Superintendent for WillowTree and oversees both new construction and remodel projects. His goal with every project is to guide and explain all aspects of construction process to his clients. During each project his is responsible for the scheduling of all sub-contractors and general management of the job site. He believes in an open line of communication with his clients. He treats ever clients project and home with the same care and attention to detail he would his own. This ensures that the project is completed on time and exceeds the customer’s expectations.

Luke holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Tech University and currently lives in
North Richland Hills, Texas with his wife.

The homebuilding process can be complex and daunting to the layperson. At WillowTree Luxury Homes we want to make sure our clients are well informed about what to expect.

Do you use licensed subcontractors?
WillowTree’s subcontracting pool includes only state-licensed professionals for HVAC, electrical and plumbing, and we team with highly respected and talented companies for non-licensed subcontractors.
Do you carry sufficient insurance? Am I putting myself at risk by using you?
Our insurance program consists of a general liability, workers comp and a non-hired auto policy to protect our clients for unlikely, worst-case scenarios.
Explain your warranty process. Am I going to be left to deal with incomplete and/or inoperable items?
We have an excellent warranty program at WillowTree, and our building professionals would love to discuss that in full detail. We want everything to be to your utmost satisfaction.
Do you use standardized and legitimate contracts to protect me and my family?
Our contracts have been obtained through the Texas Association of Builders and have been prepared by attorneys that specialize in residential construction.
